Leopard Studio

Leopard Studio is a beautiful high-end Pro Tools country recording studio retreat in upstate NY. The studio is designed to give bands and musical artists the environment, equipment and staff to create their music and present it in the best possible way. We are owned and operated by musicians.

We feature the super top recording system ProTools HD, great sounding rooms, and some of the best microphones and preamps worldwide. In addition, a 1920's Steinway parlor grand and a few vintage tube amps are available for your use.

Prior to moving to Stone Ridge, the facility was in East Village, NYC (TransporterraumNYC), started by Jimmy Goodman, Gordon Raphael and Anna Mercedes. Many great albums were recorded including The Strokes' Platinum Album, Is This It? and Blonde Redhead's acclaimed Melodie Citronique.

Now located in Ulster County, New York, Leopard Studio is in its own house, so bands are welcome to live inside as they record. Since 2002, over 100 bands/projects have recorded here, many local and many national. Staff engineers and producers include Jimmy Goodman, Kol Marshall and Alan Letko "Claw". We also welcome bands with their own engineers or producers. Visits are always welcome, with an appointment.
